Our staff prides itself in delivering a well-rounded curriculum that prepares your scholar for Kindergarten and beyond. Within our curriculum is a Social Development component and a Positive Behavior System. In order for our Positive Behavior approach to be successful we need to have the support from parents at home. Throughout the year, I welcome your comments/ideas to improve our CR-PBIS approach
I encourage you to review and implement the following areas at home: Provide a positive reinforcement system at home. (reward for positive choices with compliments and quality) Review ECC’s behavior expectations. Play and Explore with your scholar. Share Questions to School Personnel.
How does CR-PBIS work? The key strategy of the CR-PBIS is prevention. The majority of scholars at ECC and area schools follow the school’s expectations, but are rarely acknowledged for their positive choices. Through classroom instruction/modeling of all stakeholders, we will use consistent set of behavior expectations throughout the school. When scholars do not respond/follow behavioral rules, we will view it as an opportunity for re-teaching.
In Warren Township and ECC our CR-PBIS will focus around 4 letters… CORE.
COR is Latin for the Word HEART.
